At H Events we own and manage triathlon, swimming, running, cycling and multi-sport events in the Hunter Region of NSW, Australia. The reasons we have chosen to run events only in this region are simple. We were born and bred here and love the Hunter. There is so much diversity in the Hunter Region. From the rolling hills of Wine Country to the cosmopolitan cafes and beaches of Newcastle, from the Mountains of Barrington to lush farmlands of Maitland, you can be sure we will find a venue for a race that suits you.
Below you will find a few new events and a few old ones. We hope these events interest you. Our goal is to create and manage unique participant sporting events in the Hunter Region that offer enjoyable, safe and challenging courses and venues. If you want more information about an event, just follow the links. Most of the events have their own web page and you can enter on-line or via hard copy entry forms.

The 17th annual event is on again 9-10 Oct 2010 and is filling quickly. This year we are again running 2 triathlons, a fun run and also a river swim on Saturday.

This great new event will circumnavigate the whole Port Stephens harbour, with a 1.4km swim from Soldiers Point to Pindimar, 19km MTB Ride to Jimmys Beach in Hawks Nest, 4.5km Kayak to Shoal Bay and 13km run back to Soldiers Point. If you like the sound of it, watch this space for more info and entries by 17 September 2010.
Newcastle
Olympic Distance Triathlon
This event will now be held in
conjunction with the Sparke Helmore NBN Triathlon to be held on 20 March
2011.
The 2011 event will be on 20 March
2011 and willl include 4 Triathlon events. This event will have absolute
beginners triathletes and also elite competitors on the same morning.
It is expected to attract over 2000 participants from all over
Australia. The event assists raise funds for and awareness of the work
the Hunter Medical Research Institute.
This event will be held on 3 April 2011 and runs from Bar Beach to the Heart of Newcastle. This race features a great big hill and then some unbelievable views along the parks, beaches and foreshore of Newcastle. Not for the faint hearted this 10km will test the best over the first 2.5km and then gives you a great downhill or flat 7.5km run home. Half Marathon course on again!!!
The Hunter Valley Orthodontics K24Kids will be held after the main race. Held in an around Shortland Lawns the children will have a huge crowd to cheer them home. Once they are finished competitors and spectators can chill out to the soft rock FitRok show, where anyone can play. Food, drink and rides will also be available.
This event will be held again in May 2011.

Cross Country Fun Run , (5km and 10km), 10 July 2011.
Held at CB Alexander College Tocal
This annual
event rasies money for the Friends of Palliative Care (FPC) in the
Hunter Region and provides desperately needed resources for FPC,
including Ronald McDonald House. If you have had to live through the
slow passing of a loved one you know what great work FPC do. The event
is an out and back run/walk on closed farm roads with great scenery and
great scones after the race. Just a couple of hills! Entries only $10
for walkers and $15 for runners. Kids cheaper. ALL PROCEEDS go to the
charity. Thanks to Maitland Triathlon Club for all their help in
running this event.
The 6th Hunter Valley Winery Festival of Running will have something for everyone. Run through or past some of the best known wineries in Australia. You will be impressed with the air, the scenery and the great racing action.
